• "Unmasking"

I have a pair of serious pants.

I wear the pants to work.

I wear the pants out with my friends.

    Maybe they aren’t “serious” pants.

I think they go by a different name.

Anyway, I wear them every day.

Because others have told me that it is inappropriate to walk around in a different pair of pants.

The problem is, I don’t like these pants.

    They are itchy and scratchy.

I much prefer my polka dotted pants.

When I put them on, I feel relief.

    No more itchy and scratchy!

“But adults don’t wear polka dotted pants,” people say.

“Hmm, but I’m an adult and I am wearing them now!” I say.

    So they must be wrong.

I’m trying to wear my polka dotted pants more often.

  • "Lesbian Cats"

Lesbian Cats hide amongst brain scans of women’s orgasms.

Did you know that straight men don’t know that women can orgasm?

But they can! I saw the brain scans! I drew them!

Here they are along with some questions for single lesbians with cats in the area.

Ladies, if you are reading this, please get back to me.

Disclaimer: I used paint and photoshop in the making of this piece.

There is also some fabric and pattern work to make me seem extra womanly.

Oh also that one mark is from an old painting!

  • “Shmergle Goes to School”

I felt sad. So I made Shmergle.

Shmergle is me. Shmergle is you.

    Shmergle is a collective spirit.

    Or maybe a soul?

    Here Shmergle goes to school.

Because Shmergle wants to be an artist.

Funny! This is also where me and my friends go!

P.S. Shmergle also goes by Shmerg.

  • An Oblique Bio for Artist Brian Huetteman

I make things. Sometimes these things last, sometimes they don’t.

They are subtle. Nature is good and beige is good.

It is much deeper than this but what more can I say?

I find wood. Wood by dumpster or on side of road.

I also like crumbly things. Crumbly things on wall that make pile. This is good.

Sometimes there is paint, sometimes not.

    Digital?

    Eh.

Google Earth is fun. I like google earth. This is secret practice.

Perception is interesting. How much do you notice? Did you notice the secret box?

    I made that secret box.

There is meditation and awareness. Perhaps this is related…

I often wear sweaters and there is paint on some of my shoes.

This could be my practice too.

Art on bike. Bike is good.
